Software Engineer-PHP

Job Description

Directi provides volume based, mass-market, Internet products to millions of Customers worldwide. You will be responsible for architecting and developing several PHP Projects forming a part of the LogicBoxes Hostex solution [http://www.logicboxes.com]. LogicBoxes is Directi’s Web Provisioning Software Suite, and Hostex is its flagship Product Family.

Responsibilities

• Create complex business applications as a member of high energy teams
• Use MVC frameworks and OOPs concepts to build scalable modular applications
• Apply SOA concepts and use SOAP to build loosely coupled applications
• Mentor other individuals and develop your career ongoingly
• Take active participation in Recruitment and Training processes
• Participate in the entire lifecycle of the Product – design, documentation, coding, testing and deployment
• Imbibe usability engineering concepts and contribute to UI design processes

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Preferably from an Software Engineering/technical background
• PHP Certification will be considered as an advantage

Detailed Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in building largescale PHP applications
• Good oral/written communication skills in English
• Excellent grasp/understanding of OOPs
• General experience in designing and using RDBMs
• Exposure to SOAP, XML-RPC or some remoting / Distributed computing / SOA technologies
• Experience in implementing MVC frameworks
• Basic Unix/Linux commands knowledge
• Strong HTTP and Session handling concepts
• Strong Internet Concepts knowledge
• Basic Networking knowledge
• Strong knowledge and working experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Experience in using SCM tools like CVS, SVN etc and using issue-tracking tools like JIRA/Mantis etc
• Process oriented: Demonstrable commitment to following processes, commenting, documentation, testing etc
